EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES LIABILITY
What does the Employment Practices section cover?
This section covers the clubs and associations for loss resulting from Employment Claims against them arising out of Wrongful Acts relating to employment. Such Wrongful Acts include discrimination, breach of Employment contract, harassment or Wrongful Employment Decision actions.
What are the cover limits under the Employment Practices section?
$5,000,000 any one loss and in the aggregate any one period of insurance
$5,000 Deductible (costs inclusive)
Note: Limits of Liability and any deductible amounts are reduced or exhausted by Defence Costs.
The Maximum Limit of Liability for all Liability Coverage (i.e. Employment Practices and Directors & Officers Liability) is $5,000,000 any one period of insurance.
Where are you covered?
This section protects against liabilities anywhere in the world except for the USA.
What are some of the major exclusions under this section of the policy?
The following exclusions could affect You:
- Bodily Injury or damage or destruction of tangible property – there is no cover under this policy for bodily injury, sickness, disease, death or damage or destruction of tangible property (insured under General Liability policy);
- Assumed Liability – arising from, or in consequence of liability of others assumed by the Insured under any contract or agreement, except where the Insured would have been liable in the absence of such a contract or agreement.
- Specified sums under contract; and
- Fraud – any claim in consequence of a deliberate fraudulent act or omission as per the policy.
