The Australian Harness Racing National Risk Protection Program ("the Program"), arranged by Jardine Lloyd Thompson Pty Limited (JLT), has been providing coverage of the Harness Racing industry's Public & Products Liability for several years.
The National Personal Accident Insurance Cover is a joint initiative of the Australian Harness Racing Council and its State Bodies. The program provides a number of benefits to its members throughout each state and territory.
It is considered that every registered club and licensee now has access to cover at an affordable and consistent price. The Program's goal is to supply sustainable protection with a view to a long term solution while providing peace of mind.
The Program currently provides protection across the following areas:
- Group Personal Accident Insurance for cover of Capital Benefits, Non-Medicare Medical Expenses and Loss of Income including separate policies for the Australian Mini Trotting Clubs Voluntary Workers, Australian Mini Trotting Clubs participating Junior Members and visiting New Zealand Drivers.
