Upgrade Cover
What does upgrading cover mean?
From 1 January 2008, all clubs receive the basic level of cover for Non-Medicare Medical and Loss of Income benefits. Clubs can choose to upgrade from the standard level of cover to a higher level of cover to provide their players with increased benefits and reimbursements of Non-Medicare Medical Expenses and to provide a higher weekly benefit in respect to lost earnings.
Upgrading cover is OPTIONAL. Clubs should consider the costs to players and inform members of all decisions made by the club in regard to Upgrading Cover.
How to Upgrade Cover:
- Step 1 Download and print the appropriate form.
- Optional Upgrade Form for all clubs.
- Step 2 Complete all relevant sections of the form and calculate the total premium.
- Section A = Club Details
- Section B = Non-Medicare Medical
- Section C = Loss of Income Cover
- Step 3 Sign the form, attach payment and send to JLT Sport.
- Step 4 Upgraded cover will commence from the date JLT Sport receives the completed form and payment.
Please note: JLT Sport is currently developing an Online Upgrade Application system. Clubs will soon be able to Upgrade Cover via this web site. Please refer back to this site later for further developments.
