General Public & Products Liability – Important Information

Game Day Checklists

Game Day Checklists are an important part of the General Public & Products Liability policy. Completion of these checklists ultimately results in the reduced risk of injury to participants, spectators, organisers and the general public.

In 2008-09, affiliated cricket clubs will receive a Game Day Checklist Pad. Within this pad you will find 20 Game Day Checklists for your club to use.

Game Day Checklists are an important aspect of the National Club Risk Protection Programme. Your club’s support of these checklists will assist in the identification and reduction of real risks on game day.

Game Day Checklists are to be used as visual inspection tool ONLY. They do not take into account subjective opinions such as ground hardness, drought and/or player fatigue.

Ultimately, the Game Day Checklists are intended to initiate discussion between the playing teams in regard to the playing conditions and surrounds.

Please ensure that you also complete JLT Sport’s Online Risk Management Module. This Module is compulsory for all clubs and is part of the annual club registration process through MyCricket.

Game Day Checklists are available for download from the Risk Management section of this web site.

Insurer’s Obligations

Where your policy cover is provided by more than one insurer it is important to note that each insurer is only responsible to the extent of their individual subscription and there is no obligation for that insurer to make up the shortfall of any other subscribing insurer in a claim or return premium payment.
