Welcome to the Australian Cricket National Club Risk Protection Program home-page.
What is the National Club Risk Protection Program?
The Australian Cricket National Club Risk Protection Program (‘the Program’), arranged by JLT Sport, has been up and running for four years now. The joint initiative of Cricket Australia and its State Bodies has seen a number of benefits provided to cricket clubs throughout each state and territory. It is considered that every club now has access to cover at an affordable and consistent price. The Program’s goal is to provide sustainable cover and a long term solution and peace of mind for this and future seasons.
What does the National Club Risk Protection Program involve?
The Program provides competitively broad protection across the following areas:
- General Public & Products Liability (including Errors & Omissions – for coaches, umpires and managers only);
- Club Management Liability (applicable only to incorporated clubs). If your club is not incorporated and you would like guidance in that regard, please contact your Association; and
- Personal Accident cover for Capital Benefits, Non Medicare Medical Expenses and Loss of Income.
A further benefit of the Program is the easy access to coverage details via this web site which provides an easy to read summary of benefits. The web site also provides access to the documentation mentioned above.
Members who use the web site will enjoy the benefit of direct access to claims information including “How to Make a Claim”. Claim Forms can be submitted on-line or downloaded, or alternatively, you may contact JLT Sport for assistance.
Certificate of Currency
A Certificate of Currency is a document that will verify your club’s General Public and Products Liability cover. You can provide copies of this document to any organisation that has requested evidence of your club’s liability cover.
To automatically obtain a General Public & Products Liability Certificate of Currency please visit the JLT Sport website.
In some cases, councils and other local government authorities may ask to be noted as an ‘Interested Party’ on the Certificate of Currency. This is not uncommon and you can request interested parties to be noted through the website process.
Prior to accessing a Certificate of Currency for the first time, your club must complete Module 1 of the Risk Management Education Program. Once the Risk Management Module is complete, you may access your club’s Certificate of Currency as often as you need it throughout the year.
The importance of maximum participation in the Program
The level of cover and the competitive costs have been achieved by negotiating with providers of the covers on the premise that all clubs in Australia will join the Program. Therefore, it is extremely important that every club supports this initiative.
